Friday is not just any day for us. Jumu'ah is, as the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, the best day on which the sun rises. And yet, with the rush of the week, we sometimes let it pass as if it were just another Thursday. Reviving the sunnahs of Friday is a beautiful way to give this day back the weight it deserves, without complicating things and without feeling that it is one more burden.
The sunnahs of Friday, one by one
You do not need to do everything perfectly from the very first Friday. Start with one or two of these practices and let them become habit. What matters is consistency, not the intensity of a single day.
The ghusl and cleanliness
Performing ghusl (the full bath) before going to the Jumu'ah salah is one of the clearest and most beloved sunnahs. It is not merely hygiene: it is presenting yourself clean before Allah and before your brothers in the mosque. Dressing well and wearing perfume

- Before sleeping: thank Allah for the day and resolve to live the next Friday the same or better.
